Monetary Donations
A number of generous friends and family have asked if there is an organization that is close to our hearts to do service for or to make a monetary donation. For our Bahá'í friends, we ask that you please donate to the Bahá'í Fund in Kelsey's name. For our other dear friends, we often will give the following list of organizations. To be perfectly honest, any acts of service done in a spirit of sincere compassion to lessen the suffering for others - we consider the kindest gift in her name.
In Memory of Kelsey - Gifts for Young Patients.
Join us in donating big eyed beanie boos and other enrichment items to a number of local emergency rooms and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's PICU Child Life department in celebration of Kelsey Morand's 12th birthday. Running from Kelsey's birthday (March 21st) until her ascent anniversary (July 3rd)
Rainbows for Kels
Molly Lee of OptimisticSoap has so lovingly created a special bar of soap in memory of Kelsey. She is generously offering 50% of the sales to our fundraiser and is also offering a chance for a bundle of 20 bars of soaps (one of which is the very limited Rainbows for Kelsey bar) for every $10 donated to our Go Fund Me. The raffle will end on July 3rd, at midnight, after which a random winner will be drawn. The soap will be sent to a U.S. address only. Trenton Area Soup Kitchen
Meal Time / Family Time is a monthly family program at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen that was started in memory of Kelsey using donations in her honor. Each month families from the community come together for a meal, an activity, and to receive much needed donations. If you would like to donate to this program please reach out directly to TASK. When donating please let them know that it's for "Kelsey's Kid Programming" or Meal Time Family Time.
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia - PICU
Send fidget toys and activities to the Child Life Center on the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at CHOP to help families and children stay occupied and distracted during their difficult stays. This is where Kelsey spent her last two days of her life and eventually winged her ascent. The floor is designated by a pink kitty. Her little brother benefited from the generous donations of others while we were there.
